Made on the theme of sex education, Akshay Kumar says OMG 2 should be shown in schools
The creators of OMG 2 recently released a video showing actor Akshay Kumar’s visit to a theater where his latest film was screened. After the movie, Akshay interacted with the audience, joking about the film’s A certificate from the CBFC and suggesting it should be shown in schools. In the film, Akshay portrays a character inspired by Lord Shiva.
Dressed in black, Akshay asked the audience’s opinion about OMG 2, mentioning that it’s the first adult film targeted at teenagers. He playfully commented that even though the film should ideally be shown in schools, he’s glad the audience enjoyed it. He expressed gratitude for their presence.
He said, “Kaisi lagi aap logo ko movie? Pehli adult film hai jo teenagers ke liye bani hai. Actually yeh sab schools mein dikhani chahiye, lekin aap sab entertain huye nah? Bahut acha laga, bahut-bahut shukriya aap log aye dekhne (How did you find the film? This is the first adult film that has been made specifically for teenagers. It should be actually shown in schools, but at least you all got entertained watching it. I am very happy you came to watch the film).”
Earlier in July, the CBFC took precautions to handle any potential controversies surrounding dialogues or scenes in OMG 2. Eventually, the film received an A certificate after speculation about a U/A certificate. This A certificate restricts viewership to individuals aged 18 and above due to its theme of sex education.
OMG 2 actor barred from watching his own film due to ‘A’ certification
Interestingly, Aarush Varma, a 16-year-old actor in OMG 2, can’t watch the film he acted in due to its certification. He played the son of Pankaj Tripathi’s character and was reportedly barred from attending the film’s screening due to his age. The film’s topic and A certificate prevented him from seeing his own performance. Had the film received a U/A certificate, even children under 12 could have watched it with parental guidance.
More on OMG 2
OMG 2 follows the 2012 film OMG – Oh My God, starring Akshay Kumar and Paresh Rawal. Directed by Amit Rai, OMG 2 features Pankaj Tripathi as Kanti Sharan Mudgal, a devoted Shiva follower who takes legal action against the education system for misleading his child.
