Akshay Kumar shares a great bond with Asin and her husband, Rahul Sharma, and he was among the first few people who met the actress’ daughter, Arin, when she was born.

Former actress, Asin tied the knot with business tycoon, Rahul Sharma, who owns Micromax, in 2016. The duo had an intimate Christian wedding followed by a Hindu wedding ceremony. Asin and Rahul welcomed their daughter, Arin, in 2017. However, not many know that Akshay played Cupid between the duo as he introduced Asin to his friend, Rahul. For the uninitiated, Akshay and Asin worked together in the film, Khiladi 786.

Akshay Kumar kept a plane on standby when Asin’s daughter was born

Recently, Akshay Kumar graced Shikhar Dhawan’s chat show, Dhawan Karenge with Shikhar Dhawan, wherein a video message from Asin’s husband, Rahul Sharma, was played. In the clip, Rahul recalled the time when his daughter, Arin was born and shared how Akshay kept calling him and even kept a plane on standby so that he could reach Kochi. Rahul was heard saying:

“When my daughter was about to be born, he kept calling me and saying, tell me when it happens. I said ‘yes, of course’. When she was born, he was the first person I called and said ‘brother, good news’, and he said ‘fantastic’.”

Akshay Kumar was one of the first few people who met Asin’s daughter

Further in the video, Rahul shared that when Asin was about to deliver, Akshay stayed in touch with him on the phone throughout the day. He added that Akshay was super excited about the former becoming a dad, and the actor was among the first few people who met Arin after her arrival into the world. The businessman added:

“He had kept a plane on standby since morning to get there as soon as she was born. Even before my family came, he was the first to come in and… This is a memory that I can never forget in my life. When I have to do something big in life, I go ahead thinking that you are beside me. I get this strength from you.”

Akshay Kumar got emotional by Rahul Sharma’s heart-touching message for him and called him a great person. He also talked about Asin and Rahul’s relationship and shared that the couple is madly in love with each other. Shedding light on their bond, Akshay said:

“He is madly in love with his wife, his child. It’s like he treats her like a goddess. We share a deep friendship. Sometimes we don’t speak for 2-3 weeks, but then we start from the same place again.”
