Fans left spellbound by Akshay Kumar’s performance at World Kabaddi League opening gala

Akshay Kumar’s 500th Stage Performance

When it comes to ‘entertainment’, no one does it better than Akshay Kumar. Recently, the actor was seen enthralling his audiences at the opening ceremony of the World Kabaddi League at London’s O2 Arena in an event that also marked his 500th performance in a career span of 24 years. The odds were against Akshay with bad weather leading to flash floods, thousands gathering for pro-Palestine rallies and RideLondon bike run leading to road closures. The actor overcame all roadblocks to offer a performance of a lifetime. The act featured his usual brand of daredevilry where he did some edgy aerial stunts like somersaulting mid-air. He also danced to some of his well-known numbers like Shera Di Kaum and Party All Night. But the maximum applause came his way when he performed to Tu Hi To, a song he had recorded himself.  As a fan pointed out, “We have travelled from the Midlands just to see Akshay Kumar. Seeing his 500th performance is a dream come true.”

The actor, whose film Entertainment has reportedly collected Rs 20 crore during its weekend, also owns a team in the league called Khalsa Warriors. The first day of the tournament also marked the team’s debut where it defeated Yo Yo Tigers, a team owned by renowned rapper Yo Yo Honey Singh.
