Fans of Bollywood’s iconic director-actor duo, Priyadarshan and Akshay Kumar, eagerly anticipate their reunion after 14 years. With their track record of delivering cult hits like Hera Pheri and Bhool Bhulaiyaa, the announcement of their upcoming collaboration has sparked excitement and curiosity among many.

What is Akshay Kumar & Priyadarshan’s upcoming movie all about?

In a recent interview with HT City, Priyadarshan revealed details about his upcoming project with actor Akshay Kumar. He disclosed, “Now that I am done with my docu-series on Ram Mandir’s history, the most important film on which I am beginning work is the one with Akshay.” The director further revealed that Ekta Kapoor will be backing up the forthcoming project. The director of De Dana Dan also hinted at what the movie would be about, describing it as “horror fantasy with humor.”


Additionally, the yet-to-be-titled film will be different from his previous production, Bhool Bhoolaiya. Priyadarshan explained, “That was a psychological thriller. But this one will be fantasy, set against the backdrop of black magic, the oldest superstition of India.”

Speaking about their collaboration, Priyadarshan expressed delight in working with Akshay Kumar. He cited the actor’s adeptness in handling emotions as a critical factor in their successful partnership. “From our first film to this one, it has always turned out well with him. He handles the emotions so well. I was waiting for a good subject to get back with him, and this one I feel will be that,” expressed the Khatta Meetha director.

While anticipation builds for the Akshay Kumar-Priyadarshan collaboration, the actor is gearing up for two highly anticipated movies. He will be first seen in Singham Again. The actor will share the screen with Ajay Devgn, Ranveer Singh, and Deepika Padukone. His second film is Welcome to the Jungle. It is the third part of the Welcome franchise.
