Mumbai, Goa and Mauritius — the superstar sure is on a roll!

Inside Akshay Kumar’s WHOPPING Rs 7.8 crore new residence

Work, family and vacay — Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar’s successfully balanced life mantra has all of us in awe as the superstar purchases another residential property in his home-country’s capital Mumbai.

The actor who rose to fame for his comic roles in popular movies such as Hera Pheri, Bhool Bhulaiyaa, De Dana Dan and Welcome, purchased the humble abode for a whopping amount of Rs 7.8 Crores — adding one more to the list of luxurious properties he owns across not just India (Goa and Mauritius) — but all over the world.

According to reports by Money Control, the superstar’s apartment covers a wide area of 1878 square feet in Khar West, inside an apartment building known as Joy Legend, a project operated under Joy Builders. The property was initially registered on January 7 for a brief period of time before it caught Akshay Kumar’s attention.

Interestingly, despite being located on the 19th floor, the complex also hosts 4 parking spots on the same floor, exclusively for the comfort of the Welcome star.

Reports by Koimoi suggest that news of the new apartment comes after Akshay Kumar reportedly sold his office in Andheri West for Rs 9 crores in December 2021. Hosting five car parks and spread across an area of 5,359 sq. ft, it had five car parks. It was located in a building called Bharat Ark. The transaction was processed and registered on December 21 last year.

The actor, along with his wife Twinkle Khanna (famously known as Mrs Funnybones for her witty columns and book series) and two kids Aarav and Nitara, is currently staying at his lavish home in Juhu. The Mumbai house is located near the beach, offering an exhilarating view of the Arabian Sea.

The property is valued at Rs 80 crores, its aesthetics and location seamlessly doing complete justice to Akshay Kumar’s image of Bollywood’s highest-paid actor.
