‘You shake his hands and he will steal your watch!’ Preeti Jhangiani said while talking about her co-star Akshay Kumar’s pranks on film sets.

Does Akshay Kumar believe in real hera pheri? Actor Preeti Jhangiani, who worked with Akshay in the comedy Awara Paagal Deewana, has revealed that the actor would play pranks on sets including stealing people’s watches.

In the 2002 multi starrer comedy, Preeti was paired opposite Akshay. The film also starred Suniel Shetty, Aftab Shivdasani, Paresh Rawal among others.

In an interview with Bollywood Thikana, when asked about her experience of working with Akshay Kumar, the actor said, “He is fabulous, a big prankster on set. He has stolen many watches! You shake his hands and he will steal your watch! Haath ki safai aati hai unko.”

When the interviewer noted that another guest on the show had said that if not an actor Akshay could have been a pickpocket, Preeti said while laughing, “Ho sakte the agar woh chahte toh! But on that set, the funniest person was Johnny Lever. He would make everyone laugh the most,” she added.

Preeti made her Bollywood debut with Mohabbatein and went on star in Telugu and Kannada films as well. She was last seen on the SonyLIV series Kafas.

Akshay, meanwhile, is  gearing up for yet another packed year at the movies as he has several films lined up for 2024, starting with the remake of Soorarai Pottru, Bade Miyan Chote Miyan, Sky Force among others.
