After sharing how happy she was with her daughter Zia’s accomplishment in a recent swimming competition, celebrity mom Marian Rivera said it was always more than just bringing home medals that she and husband Dingdong Dantes were proud of.

Sabi ko, ‘We will pray para God will give us strength para manalo tayo. that’s fine. For me, you’re my number one, you’re the champion.’

“So nandun kami ng daddy niya to support her and nagulat kami kasi hindi namin ini-expect na talagang laban talaga siya (laughs). And ever since talaga, 101% talaga ako pag nag-chi-cheer. Yung anak ko sinasabi niya, ‘Mama, I hear your voice. You’re so loud cheering me!’ Sabi ko sa kanya, ‘Yes, because I’m proud,” sabi kong ganun,” she told PUSH during Kiko MIlano’s The Little Mermaid collection launch held earlier this month in BGC.

Even after the swim meet last July 30, Marian revealed that Zia is already preparing for another one happening at the end of the month. Aside from swimming, she also shared Zia’s other interests.

“Meron kasi inivite kami and may competition kami this coming (August) 29. Na-invite siya. Madami siyang hilig, nag-vo-voice lessons siya, swimming, nag-pa-piano. Maraming ginagawa ang anak ko (laughs). Hindi nauubusan ng energy yun,” she added.

Another interest Zia has picked up recently is a fondness for makeup just like her mom, who was recently launched as the first local brand ambassador of Kiko Milano Philippines.

“Actually naglalaro naman siya eh. Parang ang sinsabi kasi ngayon, ang pag-me-makeup parang canvas yan eh. Kumbaga, express yourself kung anong gusto mo kasi wala namang masama. Ang sinasabi ko, siyempre babagayan natin. Siyempre pag nasa school ka hindi puwede. Pag naglalaro tayo puwede. Or kapag may shoot tayo, puwede.

The color of the lipstick should be red!’ Mahilig siya, as in. May mga times na gusto niya akong makeup-an. Sabi ko, ‘Sige, anak, why not.’ So baka pag nakagawa kami ng video, ma-share ko in social media. Tingnan natin, i-rate natin siya (laughs),” she shared.

Aside from teaching her when to wear appropriate makeup, Marian also has more beauty advice for her daughter. “Madami eh. Siguro mas maganda na may skin routine ka muna before you put makeup. And then after pag tapos na yung work mo, make sure na you remove your makeup para at least maka-rest yung face,” she added.

After celebrating her husband Dingdong’s birthday earlier this month, Marian also shared how much she and her kids adore their padre de familia.
