Trolls have nothing on Deepika Padukone! The Singham Again actress, who recently stepped out to cast her vote for the ongoing Lok Sabha elections in Mumbai, was trolled by some for flaunting her ‘fake baby bump’.
Although the actress has not personally reacted to this comment, others have expressed their displeasure over this seemingly unfair treatment of the mother-to-be.
Just days after this incident took place, a renowned journalist posted in Deepika’s defense, writing on social media, ‘Dear social media, Deepika Padukone stepped out to do her democratic duty and vote. She did not ask for your feedback on her body or her pregnancy. You have no right to comment on any aspect of her life. Stop it. Behave.’

This post quickly went viral and has since been liked by A-Listers such as Alia Bhatt, Soni Razdan, Rakul Preet Singh, Sonakshi Sinha, Bhumi Pednekar, and many more. Actress Shruti Seth wrote in comments, ‘Luckily @deepikapadukone is too busy to take over the world to give a damn! she’s walking all over their damn opinion.’

Ahana Kumra also left her comment in support of both Deepika and faye, saying, ‘Good on you Faye.’
On May 20, the fifth phase of Lok Sabha Election 2024 voting was held in Mumbai and Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone made a rare appearance to cast their votes. The actress wore an oversized white and a pair of denims, wit her hair tied in a simple ponytail. It was Deepika’s way of holding her baby bump that caught people’s attention.
