Deepika Padukone opens up about her married life with Ranveer Singh and reveals how patience is one of the most important things in a relationship
Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone has been making India proud. Months after presenting RRR’s iconic song Naatu Naatu in Oscars 2023, she recently featured on the cover of TIME Magazine. Having been married to Ranveer Singh for almost five years now, she recently spoke about an observation she made about the couples of today’s generation and advised how they should learn life lessons from their parents.
Talking to the magazine, Deepika explained how growing up almost everyone was influenced by movies and the relationships and marriages around them. She went on to share that it is better for people to accept the fact that their marital journeys are going to be very different from someone else’s journey. She went on to speak about how the couples of today’s generation lack patience towards each other
Quoted by News18, She added that being patient towards one’s partner is something people should learn from the older generation. The 37-year-old actress added, “I feel like there’s a lack of patience and I think that that’s something that we can all learn from, not just Ranveer and I from our parents but I think more couples like us can learn from the generation before us. Lots of other things but patience is the number one.”
Deepika also went on to recall how she recently took a trip to Bhutan with her hubby, where they spent their days enjoying walks, sightseeing and eating to their heart’s content. She opened up about her relationship with Ranveer and expressed that she is her “most vulnerable self” with him.
For the unversed, both actors fell in love with each other while working together for Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s 2012 movie Ram-Leela. The couple got married in 2018, six years after dating each other. Being together for more than a decade, they truly are the epitome of couple goals and have set the bar high for all the lovers out there.
On the work front, Deepika Padukone was last seen in Shah Rukh Khan’s comeback movie Pathaan. She has Hrithik Roshan starrer Fighter, Prabhas starrer Project K and the remake of The Intern, co-starring Amitabh Bachchan in the pipeline.
