Bollywood’s IT couple Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone are all set to make their first appearance together on Karan Johar’s chat show Koffee With Karan, which is all set to return with the 8th season. Recently, the official trailer was leaked online, and it went viral in no time for all the exciting reasons. Amid all the excitement around the KWK 8, we bring you an exciting throwback to the time when DP had told her then-boyfriend Ranveer that she looks better on-screen with former boyfriend Ranbir Kapoor.

For the unversed, Deepika, who was in a romantic relationship with RK, broke up later with him. Later, she fell in love with Ranveer on the sets of Goliyon Ki Rasleela – Ram Leela. The duo has also shared the screen space with each other, Bajirao Mastani and Padmaavat.

Coming back the story goes back to the time in 2015 when Ranveer Singh had appeared for an interview with a magazine where she had revealed Deepika Padukone’s on-screen preference was with Ranbir Kapoor than her boyfriend, which he didn’t agree with. During his interview with Filmfare, the actor had stated, “Deepika is going through her golden period.

I had the privilege to act in such close tandem with her in Bajirao Mastani. We have intense romantic scenes together, but Deepika does not think so. However, I think our chemistry is extra special. Deepika feels I look better with Anushka (Sharma), and she looks better with Ranbir Kapoor. I am not of that opinion; I have a point to prove to her on that.”

 

For the unversed, Ranveer Singh was in an alleged relationship with ‘Band Baajaa Baarat’ actress Anushka Sharma, who broke up later. The actor had once revealed that distance had grown between the two.

Meanwhile, this morning, Karan Johar took to Instagram to share the official teaser of Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh and wrote in the caption box, “They are absolutely gorgeous & absolutely at the top of their game…they are the true Bollywood royalty couple!!! I am so excited to kickstart this season of #KoffeeWithKaran with my dearest @ranveersingh & @deepikapadukone!”
