Sharmin Segal reveals lessons learned from Priyanka Chopra, Deepika Padukone while assisting her uncle Sanjay Leela Bhansali on Ram-Leela, Mary Kom, Bajirao Mastani

Sharmin Segal made her acting debut with the 2019 film ‘Malaal’ alongside Meezaan Jafri and has since appeared in other projects, including ‘Atithi Bhooto Bhava’ and now ‘Heeramandi.’ However, before stepping in front of the camera, Sharmin gained experience as an assistant director under her maternal uncle, filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali, on several blockbuster films such as ‘Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela,’ ‘Mary Kom,’ and ‘Bajirao Mastani.’
In a recent interview with Instant Bollywood, Sharmin opened up about her experiences working with Priyanka Chopra Jonas and Deepika Padukone.She shared valuable lessons she learned from both stars during her time as an assistant director.

‘Priyanka Chopra was way more prominent,’ Sharmin said. ‘She taught me how to take care of my look, from makeup and jewelry to costumes, and how to maintain it throughout long 15-16 hour shoot days.’
Sharmin also praised Deepika Padukone, ‘I learned the art of being composed and is a very graceful actor even on-off camera. Working with her and Ranveer Singh, I observed the way he managed to keep the energy levels high.
Meanwhile, Sharmin portrayed the character of Alamzaib. The series features many notable stars like Manisha Koirala, Sonakshi Sinha, Aditi Rao Hydari, Richa Chadha, and Sanjeeda Sheikh.
Fans have more to look forward to, as filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali recently announced the second season of ‘Heeramandi,’ generating much excitement among viewers.
