Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan is not only loved and worshipped just in India, but all across the world. The Delhi-born actor has worked for almost three decades in more than 100 films, while completely owning the romantic-drama genre.
Shah Rukh, who is known as the Badshah of Bollywood, is one of the few people who are honoured by the Burj Khalifa, the tallest building in the world on his birthday, due to his insane global presence as well as the ability to touch the hearts of millions of his fans through his work.
However, the actor, despite all his popularity, did not particularly please one particular celebrity. Zayn Malik, the English artist and the former member of the superhit boyband One Direction, once said that he wasn’t really a big fan of the Bollywood actor.
In fact, he even went on to say that he found Shah Rukh to be ‘slightly arrogant’ in his Bollywood movies. Now imagine saying this about someone like Shah Rukh, who is known across Bollywood and outside of it to be a very warm and charming personality. Well, Zayn didn’t think so, at least till the time he met him.
The two celebrities met during the Asian Awards in 2015, where Zayn was being accompanied by his sister Doniya Malik. And that changed everything. Speaking in an interview with Elle India sometime back, Zayn said, “I personally wasn’t a huge fan until I met him. I realized how humble he is. Really showed a different side to him. He always came across as slightly arrogant in the movies to me but when I met him in real life, he was so nice. He just completely changed my opinion of him.”
The two interacted with each other and even clicked selfies together.
In fact, even SRK Tweeted a picture of him and Zayn after the awards and wrote, ‘This kid is so cool. May Allah bless him. Dinner time at the Asian Awards.’

Now, Zayn, whatever you feel about things now, that’s a big compliment from the King himself.
