Once in a while, we all walk down memory lane to reminisce the good ol’ college days, but with our preferred filters in place.

Honestly, none of us wants to remember the number of punishments we received for bunking classes, or the threatening letters our parents received from the college and hostel authorities. But most importantly, we specifically don’t want to remember the times when we barely managed to touch the passing grade and rejoiced more than the guy who topped the class.

Well, blame it on the popularity of superstars; but often it becomes difficult for celebrities to dodge the latter part from the gawking eyes of fans. After years, it seems that Bollywood Badshah Shah Rukh Khan’s college days have come to haunt him after his admission form was leaked online. People are losing their sh*t over the marks that he mentioned in the Hans Raj College admission form. Why? Because the star who holds a firm grasp over the English language scored 51 in that subject. Well, what did we achieve after scoring 90 marks?

The moment this picture started circulating, people went berserk, some were even trolling the star stating how they got better marks than the actor. Well, clearly, all the inspirational statements he made, the amazing TED Talk he delivered in Vancouver, Canada; have gone for a toss because he scored less in English. You can watch his inspirational TED Talk titled “Thoughts on humanity, fame and love” here.

To be fair, we are not trying to spark any debate here, we are just curious why he is being judged by some people because of his marks. Why can’t we take it as lesson that at the end of the day, hard work is what really matters. Thankfully there are some people who think this way. However, looking at this from the point of view of the students who will be entering college soon, they aren’t completely wrong in wondering why they didn’t get admission even after scoring 95%. Well the time gap is what you missed, fellas. In those days, even 10 rupees had more value than 1000 rupees. According to a report published in Pinkvilla this picture was shared by a student-run online portal, Delhi University Times and although the source of the picture is still unknown, it is being considered as an authentic image.

On a lighter note, since actor Shah Rukh Khan proved his mettle in Bollywood with his hard work, he can get away with 51 in English. But, for you, unless you have realized your true calling and proved your worth; you will be welcomed with brooms, flying chappals, rulers or house arrest when you show your marksheet or report card with poor marks.
