When Shah Rukh Khan revealed his mother fed him with her own hands until he was 25 Once in a throwback interview with Parent Circle in 2018, Shah Rukh Khan talked about his childhood days and revealed how his mother fed him with her own hands till the age of 25. Reflecting on the same, the actor mentioned that he still looks ridiculous while eating with his hands. He said: “When I was a kid, I always wanted to grow up, and now that I am old, I really miss my childhood. I think it’s the best time of our lives when we are so carefree. I remember my mom used to feed me with her own hands for the longest time — until I was about 25. So, I am still ill at ease eating with my own hands. I look ridiculous!” Shah Rukh Khan on his parents’ ‘legendary’ food habits Shah Rukh’s father was originally from Peshawar, and he had moved to India before his son was born. Talking about his father and his love for food, the actor mentioned that he was fed Mughlai and Deccani food in his childhood. He recalled how his parents would mix traditional food and feed him and added: “I have grown up on Mughlai and Deccani food. See, my father was a Pathan, and their love for food is legendary. My father loved not just eating, but also cooking. So my Pathan father’s raan would make a perfect combo with my Hyderabadi mother’s mutton biryani and the khatti dal. My parents used to mix these and feed me.” Shah Rukh Khan on baking Batman cookies for his son, Aryan Khan Shah Rukh Khan is a talented chef, who, time and again, shows off his culinary skills on his social media handle. In his words: “I don’t do that with my kids, they would disown me! But yes, I have baked for them or rustled up a pasta. I have baked Batman cookies with Aaryan when he was a little boy. I can boil eggs, make tea. And I make very good phulkas. I can make rather decent pasta also.” When Shah Rukh Khan talked about visiting his parents’ graves late at night Once in a throwback interview with The Times Of India, Shah Rukh Khan spoke about why he chose Delhi to build his late parents’ graveyards and shared the fond memories he has with Delhi.
