King Khan of Bollywood, Shah Rukh Khan and his gorgeous wife, Gauri Khan, are one of the ‘IT’ couples of the glamour world. Ever since the two had got married on October 25, 1991, they have been reigning on everyone’s heart, no matter what. Shah Rukh and Gauri have supported each other and have been each other’s pillar of strength through thick and thin. They had their fair share of struggles but the lovebirds had gone through it together.

While Gauri Chibber hailed from a family of Hindu Brahmins, Shah Rukh Khan was the pathani Muslim guy. Once Gauri had said ‘yes’ to Shah Rukh’s proposal, the next step was to convince her parents, who were against their inter-religion union. But eventually, they had given a nod to their relationship. Finally, Shah Rukh and Gauri had tied the knot as per Hindu rituals, despite all the hurdles in their lives.

Once Gauri Khan had appeared on Karan Johar’s chat show, Koffee With Karan with Hrithik Roshan’s ex-wife, Sussanne Khan. During one of the segments of the show, Gauri had opened up about how all the star wives were running away and had shared that she was planning to do the same. As reported by IBTimes, when Karan had asked Gauri to reveal the name of the star wife, who she thinks is the biggest and is someone she looks up to, she had said:

“You know, the thing is that most wives have run away or are planning to run away, I am including myself.”

Gauri’s response had left Karan Johar and Sussanne Khan stumped, and they couldn’t believe what they had just heard. However, the show’s host had then blurted out:
“You have a happy marriage.”

Shah Rukh Khan and Gauri Khan celebrate festivals of both their religions with equal enthusiasm and they have taught their kids, Aryan Khan, Suhana Khan and AbRam Khan that before any religion, they are Indians. Elaborating on the same, Shah Rukh had said:

“Humne koi Hindu-Musalman ki baat hi nahi ki. Meri biwi Hindu hai, main Musalman hoon. Aur mere jo bacche hain, wo Hindustan hain. Jab wo school gae to school me wo bharna padta hai ki religion kya hai. To jab meri beti choti thi, usne aa ke pucha bhi mujhse ek baar, ‘papa hum kaun se religion ke hain?’ Maine usme ye likha ki hum Indian hi hain yaar, koi religion nahi hai. Aur hona bhi nahi chahiye.”

Shah Rukh Khan and Gauri Khan had completed thirty years of marriage on October 25, 2021, and the couple still seems to be deeply in love with each other just as newlyweds. Both Shah Rukh and Gauri respect each other’s religion and follow both at home. Their love, commitment, trust, fidelity and belief in one another, is an inspiration to all couples within the industry and outside. Shah Rukh believes that for him, there is only one girl and that is Gauri. Shah Rukh always stays amazed by the way she handles their family, his production house and her work as an interior designer. He believes that she is a complete woman in every way!
