According to Vogue India, actor Shah Rukh Khan first noticed the mansion located in Mumbai’s Bandstand neighborhood while filming the movie ‘Yes Boss’ in 1997. It’s known as one of the most expensive estates in the area. In 2001, the property initially called Villa Vienna was purchased by him. As reported by Housing, the standout house features a modern six-story tower, with a front villa dating back to the 1920s.

According to Vogue India, the Bungalow boasts a gym, library, boxing ring, tennis court, and auditorium. When Khan and wife Gauri moved in, this real estate block was only partially completed. Khan’s wife, who is an interior designer herself, along with architect Kaif Faquih, spent a decade fine-tuning the building. Speaking to Vogue India, Gauri mentioned that every nook and corner of the house was meticulously curated.

As a renowned tourist spot, the residence of the ‘Bollywood King and Queen’ easily catches attention with its white pillars and large black gates.

Actor Khan also constructed a rooftop, which according to Gauri, is where she feels happiest in the house. It provides privacy while allowing her husband to greet fans outside.

The power couple is famous for decking out the rooftop in festival-style decorations and adding fairy lights on special occasions.

During the lockdown, Gauri revamped the covered section of the rooftop. She posted pictures of the new look on Instagram, showcasing a brown ceiling and harmoniously decorated walls.

Despite the mansion’s minimalist exterior, Gauri revealed that the interior design exudes warmth and luxury. Dark wooden floors, plush carpets, and expensive crystal chandeliers contribute to the opulence of the house. It’s filled with items collected by the couple over the years, including a jade Ganpati statue and a lifelike Radha-Krishna sculpture carved from marble, both holding special positions within the house.

According to Housing, Khan has an impressive study where he keeps all his awards, certificates, and memorabilia. Fans caught a glimpse of this room in a video shared on Instagram, featuring a circular design.

As per Vogue India, Khan often works in his study and conducts meetings there. His wife described the frontage as having classical columns and leather interiors.

In an interview with David Letterman on ‘My Next Guest Needs No Introduction with David Letterman,’ viewers could spot Khan cooking in the kitchen. The cooking area is not only impressive in size but also in its sleek white and dark wood theme, with kitchen utensils neatly arranged along the counter as Khan prepares food.
