Well-known Bollywood actress Aishwarya Rai Bachan took part in the simple event held at A La Banquet auditorium, Juhu on her 50th birthday on November 1 and donated Rs one crore for GSB Seva Mandal hospital under construction.
She cut the cake participating in the programme with her mother Vranda Krishna Rai and daughter Aradhya Abhishek Bachan. She paid homage to her late father Krishna Rai and donated the amount from her foundation. GSB Seva Mandal Mumbai convener Dr Bhujanga Pai, Sanur Manohar V Kamath, vice president of GSB Seva Sabha, Dahisar –Borivali and other dignitaries received the cheque and thanked her.
The co convener Ganesh Prabhu, G D Rao, M V Kini, R G Bhat, Vijay Kamath, Yashwanth Kamath, Shivananda Bhat, Supriya Bhat Dombivli, Nithin Prabhu Vashi and other office bearers were present.
Aishwarya Rai who was fasting on Karva Chauth for her husband Abhishek Bachan did not eat the cake. She later visited Siddivinayaka temple with her mother and daughter, received blessings from Vighnavinayaka and offered special prayers.
