Recently her daughter Aaradhya Bachchan moved to Delhi High Court and filed a suit against some youtube channels spreading false information about her.

Bollywood actor Aishwarya Rai Bachchan recently spoke about the Aaradhya Bachchan fake news case at a press conference for her forthcoming movie Ponniyin Selvan II where she said that creating false content is unnecessary and insensitive. The actress expressed her hope that it won’t be perpetuated by the media.

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan’s Statement On Fake News

Aishwarya was questioned about the fake news that offends people’s emotions and sentiments at the press conference for her upcoming film, ‘Ponniyin Selvan: II’. To this, she politely said thanks to the media for recognizing the negative impact of fake news.

Here’s what she said, “It’s so nice that a member from the media only is recognizing that that does exist. So that gives us great hope that you are not going to perpetuate that, you are not going to encourage that and thank you very much for your wise recognition of the negative impact of false writing or unnecessary writing which is insensitive and unnecessary. Thank you so much for your support for the sentiment that we all share and for your wisdom in recognising that.”

Aaradhya Bachchan Filed A Suit Against Some Youtube Channels

Aaradhya Bachchan recently made headlines as she moved to Delhi High Court to file a lawsuit against many YouTube channels for allegedly disseminating false information about her health, using videos and photographs of Bachchan’s family members. The Delhi High Court restrained several YouTube channels from publishing misleading content on Aaradhya Bachchan’s health. The single-judge bench of Justice C. Hari Shankar stated that “every child is entitled to be treated with honour and respect” and the dissemination of misleading information regarding a child’s mental or physical health will be completely intolerable under the law.

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan’s Work Front

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan will be next seen in Ponniyin Selvan: II which is directed by Mani Ratnam. It is all set to release on April 28, 2023, on Amazon Prime Video. It is adapted from a 1995 Tamil novel by author Kalki Krishnamurthy. Ponniyin Selvan: II cast includes Trisha Krishnan, Vikram, Aishwarya Lekshmi and Karthi.
