Abhishek and Aishwarya have been married for 16 years, and there have been constant rumours about the couple’s separation for some time. Neither Aishwarya nor Abhishek have commented on the same, but the grapevine has it that the couple is parting ways. Amid the rumours, an old video of Aishwarya resurfaced on Reddit as the actress graced Karan Johar’s chat show, Koffee With Karan.

When Aishwarya Rai described the kind of man she would like to marry

In one of the segments of the show, Karan was seen asking Aishwarya the kind of man she would like to marry. To Karan’s question, she replied:
“You guys will know when it happens… I can’t think of a prototype considering the kind of experiences I’ve had. I would just like to take life as it comes.”

For the past few months, the Bachchan clan has been in the news for the rumours of their alleged family feud. On December 5, 2023, the entire Bachchan clan arrived on the red carpet to cheer for Amitabh Bachchan’s grandson, Agastya Nanda, as he made his acting debut with Zoya Akhtar’s film, The Archies. It was in 1999 when Aishwarya Rai and Abhishek Bachchan first met professionally during the photo shoot of their first film together Dhaai Akshar Prem Ke. The duo then worked together in films like Kuch Naa Kaho, Dhoom 2, Sarkar Raj, Umrao Jaan, Guru and Raavan, and eventually, their friendship blossomed into love.

It was during the shooting of Dhoom 2 when Abhishek and Aishwarya developed feelings for each other. After the premiere of the film, Guru in Toronto, Abhishek Bachchan proposed to Aishwarya Rai in New York, and she immediately accepted his proposal.
