Amitabh Bachchan praised Randeep Hooda and remembered his performance in Sarbjit, that co-starred Aishwarya Rai Bachchan.

Actor and Kaun Banega Crorepati host Amitabh Bachchan quizzed his guests for a special cause in the Diwali special episode of the ongoing season of the  game show. Actor Randeep Hooda was part of the special episode and was praised by the superstar for his performances, especially the actor’s performance in the film Sarbjit.

Amitabh praised Randeep for his acting skills and called himself a fan of the younger actor. The superstar, specifically praised Randeep’s performance in 2016 film Sarbjit, which also starred Amitabh’s daughter-in-law Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. Big B reminded Randeep about Sarabjit, which was inspired by a real life incident and how an Indian national was imprisoned in Pakistan in box-like prison and given death sentence by the Pakistani court. Amitabh said that he has never done something like that.

Amitabh told Randeep: “Randeep, I wish to tell you that I’m a big fan. I’ve watched many of his films, and he has performed brilliantly in all of them. Randeep, you had done a movie with Aishwarya Rai — ‘Sarbjit’. It’s based on a real-life story. He accidentally crosses the border and is arrested and convicted. In the film, you see Randeep holed up in a small cell. He lived in those very conditions. I’ve never done that in my life.”

In addition to the entertainment of the show, in the latest promo, Amitabh announced that on the auspicious festival, for every correct answer 100 trees will be planted, 100 litre of Ghee and 100kg of rice and flour will be donated to those who are in need.

The episode had Randeep on the hot seat along with NGO worker Mukta Puntambekar, who runs rehabilitation centre Muktangan Rehabilitation Center in Pune. Social worker Ravi Shankar, known for running the Roti Bank, was also part of the show. Amitabh announced during the show, “Har sahi jawab par 100 vriksha lagaye jayenge, 100 litre ghee, 100 kg aata aur chawal daan mein jayega. (For every correct answer, 100 trees will be planted, 100 ltrs of Ghee, 100 kg of flour and rice will be donated.)

Speaking about the winning money, Mukta said, “Jo nashe mein phass chuke hai, unki treatement hogi isse” (Those who are stuck in addiction will receive help).  Ravi expressed gratitude to Amitabh for bringing smile on so many faces with this generous donation of the show.

The show’s promo was posted on host channel’s Sony Tv official and the caption read, “Iss Diwali samaaj mein bhale ke liye kaam karnewaalon ka hausla badhayega KBC. Earlier, Amitabh, through his personal Twitter handles, also revealed that he has shot for a special kids’ episode ahead of Children’s Day on November 14. He posted pictures from the sets and wrote, “each day is a learning from these kids on KIDS speal on KBC .. and the excitement is unbelievable.” In another post, he wrote, “the kids are a scream on KBC .. ! running to meet them .. LION and all”

With film work, Amitabh recently shot with Rajnikanth in Mumbai for their upcoming film. The two superstars posed together for the photograph, which Amitabh posted and wrote in the caption, “THE THALAIVAR .. !! What an honour”. Besides this, he will also be seen in Nag Ashwin’s Kalki 2898 AD. The movie also stars Prabhas, Deepika Padukone and Kamal Haasan.
