Megastar Chiranjeevi is reportedly set to romance B-town queen Aishwarya Rai Bachchan in his 156th film, billed to be a socio-fantasy. Former Miss World would be arriving in Tollywood, and it is touted to be a casting coup. ‘Chiranjeevi and Aishwarya Rai pairing would be a sensational combination, and the film is bound to trigger hype and hoopla across India. It would be another magnum opus from Tollywood,’ says a source, who claims that the negotiations are underway with Aishwarya Rai and a deal could come through soon.

Aishwarya recently performed her career best as scheming Queen Nandini in the historical drama ‘Ponniyin Selvan’ series. ‘Aishwarya played the role with grey shades and breathed life into the character. Her elegant look and performance were one of the highlights of the film. She stole the show under the nose of talented actors like Vikram, Karthi, Trisha, and others,’ he adds.

Similarly, Telugu makers were looking for an actress of stature who could fit into the role of an ‘Angel’ who belongs to the celestial world and connects with a human being in the film. ‘Aishwarya will be the best and only option, and she is bound to give a fillip to the socio-fantasy being directed by Vashista. The film is being made with Rs 200 crores, and Chiru-Aishwarya jodi would enthrall the legion of mega fans and general viewers too,’ he adds.

Earlier, Chiranjeevi played a similar kind of role in the blockbuster film ‘Jagadeka Veerudu Athiloka Sundari’ and fell in love with the late Sridevi, who looked stunning as the daughter of Lord Indra in the film.
