Tina Datta shared the screen with Aishwarya Rai in Chokher Bali while she played the teenage version of Vidya Balan’s character Lalita in Parineeta.

Uttaran and Bigg Boss 16 fame Tina Datta has opened up about her experience of working with Vidya Balan in Parineeta and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan in Chokher Bali. Tina recalled how she got the opportunity to work with Vidya and also added that she was starstruck when she met Aishwarya.

In an interview with Pinkvilla, Tina said, “Things were just falling in place back to back. So, Vidya Balan and Parineeta, how it happened was I did an album with Vidya ma’am and that was directed by Pradep Sarkar. And then he was casting for Parinteeta, and they just called me, and I was like, ‘Yes, okay, how lovely.’” Parineeta was released in 2005.

Talking about collaborating with Aishwarya, Tina said, “She’s freaking pretty. It’s like you can’t take your eyes off her.’ She’s like that. I was all star struck. I was just staring at her like that.” Chokher Bali was helmed by Rituparno Ghosh in 2003 and it starred Aishwarya as Binodini.

Tina was asked if, after becoming an actor, she had the opportunity to approach those actors and say, ‘Hey, you know, we worked together?’ The actor said, ‘I happened to meet Vidya ma’am for sure. Vidya Balan had come to my show for one of her promotional activities. And the best part is, these actors work with so many people and they meet so many people, and she remembered me and she remembered everything. She was like, ‘Yes, we shot in Kolkata,’ and she was chatting with me. I was like, ‘Oh my God, I feel so good. I feel so good.’ I was grounded. That’s the best part.’

Tina made headlines after entering the Bigg Boss 16 house. Her connection with Shalin Bhanot turned heads and was one of the major talking points of the show.
