The film achieved an impressive milestone by grossing approximately USD 2.25 million on its release day at the North American box office. According to reports, this is the highest debut for any Salman Khan-led film. With this new record, it surpasses the collections of 2015’s Bajrangi Bhaijaan, which had the highest collection of USD 740K.

This also Salman’s second million-dollar collection in the US, after Bajrangi Bhaijaan crossed the 1 million mark on the second day (Saturday) of its release.

The film managed to rake in the big bucks, despite going up against the Marvel superhero movie ‘The Marvels’. The film, a sequel to the 2019 Brie Larson-led ‘Captain Marvel’, opened with just $47 million, less than a third of the $153.4 million its predecessor launched with before ultimately taking in $1.13 billion worldwide.

According to reports on news portals Tiger 3 earned an estimated USD 850K in Gulf regions, with the shows commencing on Saturday evening. The United Kingdom also generated GBP 160K.

Despite its unconventional release strategy, ‘Tiger 3’ has already secured the title of the most substantial international opening for both Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif, promising steady business in the coming weekdays. The extended Diwali break in India is expected to only boost its business in the days ahead.
