Bollywood star Aamir Khan once denied rumors of hiding money in wheat bags for the poor

Indian movie star Aamir Khan has just denied rumors that he hid money in wheat bags to give to the poor.

Over the past few days, information has appeared online that actor Aamir Khan distributed wheat and money to poor people in New Delhi, while India was warned that the epidemic could peak in June or July.

A video circulating on social networks claimed that actor Aamir Khan sent a truck to the slums, and anyone in need could receive a 1kg bag of wheat. The recipients later discovered 15,000 rupees (about 4.6 million VND) in a bag of wheat.


The video ends with a thank you to actor Aamir Khan. India Today website quoted another video with similar content. In the video, a man said that Aamir Khan sent a truck full of necessities to the poor, with each family receiving 1kg of wheat.

Netizens shared the video on Facebook and Twitter, praising Aamir Khan’s efforts. However, according to India Today , the videos do not clearly state where the incident occurred and the content has not been verified.

In the middle of this week, Aamir Khan confirmed on Twitter that he was not the one handing out the money in the videos. Sharing with Indian news site Quint , the team responsible for promoting Aamir Khan’s image confirmed that the actor knew nothing about this.

However, the videos mentioned above ‘tricked’ actor Sangram Singh. He praised Aamir Khan’s rumored actions on Twitter: ‘Hats off to Aamir Khan. He is truly a perfect person and an inspiration to many people.’


Aamir Khan has made significant contributions to the PM-CARES Fund and India’s Covid-19 Relief Fund . In addition, on May 3, the actor and his wife Kiran Rao participated in the virtual concert I For India  with many Bollywood stars to raise funds to fight Covid -19.

Aamir Khan was once nicknamed ‘Uncle Aamir’ by Chinese audiences and is known as the star of many action movies such as:  Ghajini (2008),  3 Idiots (2009),  Dhoom 3  (2013).. .

Aamir Khan received 9 awards at the Filmfare Awards (an annual award for Hindu-language films in the Bollywood film industry), over 32 nominations and many other domestic and foreign awards.
