1. Salman Khan and his controversial comment on the 26/11 attacks
In 2012, the actor was caught up in a scandal after his controversial comments on 26/11. Salman was heavily criticised for claiming that the attacks were hyped because only ‘elite people’ were targeted on a Pakistani channel. He came out with an apology and claimed that the Pakistani channel twisted his words and that he condemned any act of terrorism.
2. Salman Khan and his sexist comments on women’s dress code
In recent times, Salman was under fire for attempting to defend an alleged dress code for women on set. While appearing on the Aap Ki Adalat, he was questioned by double standards on his previous views supporting a dress code for women while he took off his shirt for every role. To this, the actor replied, “There is no double standard in it. I feel that a woman’s body is a lot more precious, so as much as it is covered, I feel it’s better.” He was also accused of asking the women on his set to be covered ‘like good, proper girls.’
3. Salman Khan gets violent with Aishwarya Rai
While Salman was in a relationship with former Miss World Aishwarya Rai, the actor was violent towards her and allegedly harassed her constantly. This controversy was connected to his beef with Vivek Oberoi. The Saathiya actor picked a fight and held a press conference against Salman over his then-rumoured girlfriend, Aishwarya Rai.
4. Salman Khan and the infamous hit-and-run case
In September 2002, Salman’s hit-and-run case was all across media channels and newspapers. The actor’s late-night stroll in his car turned into a fatal accident that killed one and injured four people on the sidewalk. He was given a five-year sentence but was granted bail on the very same day. Salman was freed of all criminal charges in 2015, thirteen years later.

The blackbuck deer poaching case has been one of the most long-standing and talked-about controversies for Salman Khan. The incident happened in 1998, during the shooting of his movie Hum Saath Saath Hain.
It was not only Salman who was embroiled in this case; his co-stars Saif Ali Khan, Sonali Bendre, Neelam, and Tabu were also charged in the case.
