Saif Ali Khan once revealed that he was attacked by a man in a nightclub because he told him to ‘handle’ his girlfriend, who wanted Saif to dance with her.

Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan, who is known for speaking his mind, has often opened up about his controversies. One such controversy occurred when it was reported that the actor was involved in a fight with two men at a nightclub in the 1990s. Saif cleared the air about the incident in an old interview, explaining that he didn’t start the fight. He revealed how the incident escalated, and ended with him being attacked.

In an interview with Lehren, Saif said, “It was unfortunate that we had a fight. After the premiere of Main Khiladi Tu Anari, I went to a nightclub with my friends. I was approached by two girls who kept asking me to dance with them. It happened for a while, and after some time I asked them to leave us alone. The girls were in the club with their boyfriends. I told them to take care of the girls because we did not want to talk to anyone at that moment. He did not like it. He said, ‘You have a million-dollar face, and I am going to spoil it.’ And then he punched me.”

Saif also clarified that her co-actor Mamta Kulkarni wasn’t with him. When asked why he didn’t file a police complaint, the actor said, “I did not file any complaint because I didn’t want any publicity on that matter. But if people will blame for the fight, then I can always explain what went wrong.”

The actor recently starred in the film Adipurush, in which he played the villainous Lankesh. However, the movie received negative reviews for to its dialogues and depiction of deities. Helmed by Om Raut, Adipurush also stars Prabhas and Kriti Sanon.
