Ira Khan shared unseen photos featuring her father Aamir Khan and mother Reena Dutta from her engagement party.

Aamir Khan and Reena Dutta‘s daughter Ira Khan took to social media on Saturday and shared a new set of photos from her engagement party. Ira shared these photos to mark the one year anniversary of her surprise engagement at the Ironman. At her engagement, her parents Aamir and Reena can be seen having a gala time with the couple.

Ira shared the pictures on Instagram and wrote, “Last year, after his Ironman, he did a thing that led to these pictures. I’ve been meaning to put these pictures up for 11 months now.

But I wanted to give it the time and attention it deserves. Tomorrow he’s going to do another Ironman. The anticipation is making me nervous! Not sure about him. It’s nice to be able to be there for him considering he’s ALWAYS there for me”

“I love you @nupur_popeye. Can’t wait to be your support crew tomorrow. Thank you for making me a part of your thing.,” she added.

Ira, who is a mental health advocate, exchanged rings with Nupur on November 11 after dating for a couple of years. The couple is expected to tie the knot on January 3, 2024.

Ira, in a recent interview with India Today revealed that she had initially rejected the idea of dating Nupur. She said, “Initially, I was like ‘we should not date because I don’t want to get into a relationship with you, because I don’t know what is going on in my head, who’s if you want to deal with it or not.’ And I went back and forth about that thought for so long. Later, I realised he was an adult.

Why don’t I ask him? So, I asked him, I was like ‘listen, all these thoughts are going on in my head.’ And that’s how we started dating.”
Aamir had recently opened up about how he will end up shedding a lot of tears at Ira’s ‘bidaai’ ceremony, but at the same time, like any father, he can’t wait to see his daughter get married.

He told News 18 at their event Amrit Ratna 2023, “On that day, I am going to cry a lot. My family has already started discussing ki bhai Aamir ko sambhalna uss din (Take care of Aamir that day). I am a very emotional person. I can control neither my tears nor my laughter. As the day nears, my emotions will only intensify. I am looking forward to it, as it will be a special moment.”
