Cinematographer Ravi K. Chandran recently shared a photo on Instagram showing actors Suriya and Aamir Khan bonding at Kamal Haasan’s birthday party. The cheerful snapshot of the Ghajini stars reveling together has proven popular among fans since Chandran posted the candid moment.

Kamal Haasan is celebrating his 69th birthday today and this iconic picture of two versatile actors together came from a birthday party organized at Kamal Haasan’s house.

Both actors have huge fan followings in India, and judging by how quickly this picture spread across the internet, it’s clear just how excitedly fans responded to the rare glimpse of the two stars together.

Suriya and Aamir Khan both portrayed the same character in the Tamil and Hindi versions, respectively, of the 2008 film Ghajini. Directed by A.R. Murugadoss, Ghajini is loosely based on Christopher Nolan’s 2000 neo-noir psychological thriller Memento, starring Guy Pearce, as well as the 1950 British musical comedy Happy Go Lovely. The rare photo of the two Ghajini stars together has thrilled fans eager to see the actors unite.

Ghajini’s plot follows the story of a man who is suffering from retrograde amnesia due to a head injury he got while attempting to save his fiancee from a gangster. After that, he sets out to avenge her murder with the help of photographs from a Polaroid Instant camera and permanent tattoos on his body.

Suriya and Aamir Khan’s Workfront

Suriya was last seen playing the lead role in the 2022 film Etharkkum Thunindhavan directed by Padiraj. He also played cameos in the film Vikram starring Kamal Haasan and also in the Tamil version of Rocketry: The Nambi Effect with R Madhavan.

He is next set to feature in the film Kanguva directed by Siruthai fame Siva and also in the next Sudha Kongara film. He is also expected to do a cameo in the Hindi remake of the film Soorarai Potru with Akshay Kumar as the lead.

Aamir Khan on the other hand was last seen in the film Laal Singh Chadda and also played a cameo in the Kajol starrer film Salaam Venky. The actor is set to return on big screens next year around the occasion of Christmas with the sequel to his iconic 2007 Taare Zameen Par, called Sitaare Zameen Par.
