Karisma Kapoor and Aamir Khan worked together in the 1994 comic caper Andaz Apna Apna, which also starred Salman Khan and Raveena Tandon.

Actor Karisma Kapoor’s 1994 film Andaz Apna Apna is remembered for the comedy and iconic characters. The movie also starred Salman Khan, Aamir Khan and Raveena Tandon. Karisma recently said that she understood Aamir’s desire for perfection long before he was given the moniker of ‘Mr Perfectionist’.

In an interview with IMDB, Karisma recalled a dining table scene where a hungry Aamir was supposed to eat the food on the table. Karisma said that Aamir set the contents of the table perfectly before the shot.

“So, we shot a lot in this bungalow called Poonawala Bungalow, which was in Madh Island. A lot of the scenes were shot over there and I remember there was this one particular dining table scene. Aamir was such a perfectionist from that time that he was placing the salt and pepper and fixing the plate,” recalled Karisma.

She added, “That was the first time I realised how an actor can be such a perfectionist.”

Karisma Kapoor also revealed that for the shoot of the climax scene, she along with Raveena were tied to a pillar. That day on set, during the dinner break, everyone started going for dinner, forgetting that the lead heroines were tied up to a pillar.

She said, “We were all working a lot that time, doing 3-4 shifts a day. We were all really busy. And we would shoot from 9 or 10 in the night till 5 in the morning. During the climax, both of us actresses were tied up on this pillar. And once there was a dinner break, and they forgot to untie us. And we were like, ‘Hello, hello, please untie.’ So, we used to work really hard those days. Great times!”

Andaz Apna Apna was directed by Rajkumar Santoshi. The film tanked at the box office but has found a cult following over the years.
