Ranbir Kapoor’s rude behaviour towards Alia Bhatt got him mercilessly trolled by the netizens as the actor was seen ignoring his pregnant wife during the recent promotions of ‘Brahmastra’.

Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt’s latest movie, Brahmastra is doing very well at the box office and the duo seems quite delighted about the same. It’s double happiness for the couple as they are soon going to become parents as Alia is reportedly in her last trimester. Even after the release of the film, Ranbir and Alia are making sure to promote their film and during the recent promotional event, the actor’s ignorance towards his pregnant wife got the netizens furious.

For the unversed, it was in April 2022, when Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor got married in an intimate ceremony in the presence of their close ones. It was a big shock and surprise when Alia had announced the news of her pregnancy, two months post her wedding. And since then, her fans are hooked on social media to get a glimpse of the soon-to-be mommy.

On September 15, 2022, Ranbir and Alia jetted off to Ahmedabad to promote their film, Brahmastra along with director, Ayan Mukerji. The duo looked stunning as Ranbir donned a white kurta pyjama with a Nehru jacket and Alia opted for a lime green sharara set. After the press conference, Ranbir and Alia were seen walking separately.

Not just this, Ranbir was even seen walking behind Alia and completely ignoring her. The actor’s rude behaviour in public towards his pregnant wife, Alia, made the netizens furious, who trolled him mercilessly. While one user wrote, “Ranbir ne alia ko kaise ignore kiya, jaise koi stranger ho.”

Another commented, “Ranbir do u really love alia? for heavens sake she s preg with ur child… least u can do is hold her hand!! zero respect for u man.”

This is not the first time, Ranbir has been called out for being rude to Alia. A few weeks back, the couple had gone live along with the film’s director, Ayan Mukerji. As the trio talked about the movie and its various aspects, a segment of the video showed Ranbir Kapoor teasing his pregnant wife, Alia. In the video, Alia shared that they are not promoting the film extensively and said:

“Of course, we will promote the movie, but if the question you are asking is why we are not phailod (spread) everywhere.”

While Alia was speaking, Ranbir had interrupted her and said, “Well I can say somebody has phailod”, while looking at Alia Bhatt’s baby bump. Ranbir’s comment was not taken in a good way by the netizens and they trolled the actor mercilessly for body-shaming Alia.

While a user commented, “I am not surprised if he is the reason Alia will have body image issues in spite of being pregnant.” Another had written, “Like what RK did was very mature. Kuch bhi.”
