It all started with Deepika’s being in an ‘open relationship with Ranveer’ comment that irked netizens. Soon, people started digging out more, and they found out how Ranveer shared a ‘repeated first meeting’ story for Deepika, which he had shared for Anushka Sharma. On November 14, 2023, Ranveer took to his Instagram handle and shared a few unseen pictures with Deepika Padukone from the sets of their first film, Ram Leela. Along with it, the actor penned how the film changed their lives in many ways. For the unversed, Deepika and Ranveer’s love brewed during the film’s shooting. Ranveer wrote:

As soon as Ranveer shared the post, netizens flooded the comments section with their opinion. One user wrote, ‘Lagta hai matter solve ho gya iska.’ Another commented, ‘Meanwhile she was seeing other people.’ Some also called Ranveer a ‘Green Flag’, while others took a dig at Deepika.

Deepika and Ranveer have super busy schedules owing to their professional commitments. In such a scenario, maintaining a good relationship becomes a task, but Deepika knows the importance of it. The actress talked about the same in an interview with Vogue. She also added how sometimes it becomes tough to spend time together, and they have to ‘schedule’ it sometimes.

Deepika revealed how they have to find ways to plan their time together. She added that they both try hard to make the effort, which is not one-sided. She was quoted as saying:

‘Spending time with my husband is very important to me. You have to make the time… I have to say both he and I make the effort. It cannot be one-sided. We have to schedule it. In our professions, where one of us can be travelling for a month at a time or sometimes he might have a late night and I have an early morning, there are times when we are in the same city but hardly get quality time with each other.

It’s not the quantum of time but the quality of that time we have together. We love it when it’s just the two of us but we also love spending time with our families.’

Deepika and Ranveer’s appearance on the Koffee couch turned out to be a disaster. In fact, things took an ugly turn when Redditors dug out the couple’s old interview to prove how they are faking their ‘happily ever after’. A Reddit user found out an old video of Deepika Padukone when she appeared on the Ellen DeGeneres Show. In the clip, Ellen showed Deepika her cosy picture with Vin Diesel and asked if any romance was going on. The actress happily revealed that ‘there is no fire without smoke’. Further, Deepika added that it was going all in her head. She was quoted as saying:

“But, it’s all in my head! So yeah, I mean in my head I think, like yeah, we are together and we have this amazing chemistry, and we live together and we have these amazing babies! But it’s all in my head.’
