Despite wishing to seek a considerably larger cost, Aamir Khan was chosen for the ad over Shah Rukh Khan.

New Delhi: Shah Rukh Khan and Aamir Khan are two of Bollywood’s most famous and renowned stars. Their celebrity extends beyond acting in films to hosting television shows and endorsements of various brands. Speaking about ads, ad guru Prahlad Kakkar recently discussed the two superstars in an interview.

Aamir Khan sought Rs 25 lakhs for an ad

He added that, despite the fact that Aamir and Shah Rukh were both chosen for the same ad, Aamir sought a considerably larger cost. Prahlad told Zoom, “I was suggested for Aamir Khan’s name because he was popular at the time because of Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak.” However, he refused to drop his price and demanded Rs. 25 lakhs from us. Shah Rukh agreed to shoot the ad for Rs. 6 lakhs since he needed the money to buy a house Mannat.

“Shah Rukh, on the other hand, appeared to be a “wannabe” main lead.” Aamir, on the other hand, appeared to be a newcomer rather than an actor. Aamir was hesitant to make an advertisement because the term “ad” had a terrible reputation in the industry at the time. It signified you weren’t doing well in the sector and needed to produce commercials to get some money. ‘I did tell Aamir that this ad will make you bigger as an actor, but he didn’t buy it, saying that only a feature film, not such ads, can make him big,’ he continued.

‘While Aamir agreed later, he demanded Rs. 25 lakh, and Shah Rukh demanded Rs. 6 lakh because he had no ulterior motive other than to buy a house for himself in Mumbai,” Prahlad stated. We agreed to get Aamir Khan on board, but instead made another ad with Shah Rukh.’

On the work front

On the work front, Shah Rukh Khan’s first success of the year Pathaan, was a smash hit, then Jawan, his second film of 2023, was released in September. It was also a great box office success. All eyes are now on his upcoming picture, Dunki, directed by Rajkumar Hirani. It is SRK’s first collaboration with Hirani and Taapsee Pannu.
