Indian actress Priyanka Chopra, who clinched the Miss World 2000 title, wore a 200-carat diamond choker valued at US$43 million to a Bulgari event.

The actress captured attention in a black and white off-shoulder gown that beautifully highlighted the lavish diamond choker during the event in Rome on May 20.

According to Vogue, this necklace is a part of Bulgari’s celebration of their 140th anniversary. It features seven pear-shaped diamonds totaling 140 carats on a main loop designed as a serpent, embellished with 698 sinuous baguette-cut diamonds.

Named Serpenti Aeterna, the necklace is described by Bulgari as the most exquisite work of art they have ever produced. It required 2,800 hours to craft and is celebrated for its unmatched purity, as noted by the brand.

At the event, the Indian star met American actress Anne Hathaway, American-Chinese actress Liu Yifei, Taiwanese actress Shu Qi, Japanese model Hikari Mori, and Italian actor Alessandro Gassman.

Chopra dazzled again at another Bulgari gathering the day after, where she showcased long flowing hair and a bold deep V-neck dress. She accessorized with a sapphire necklace and a coordinating sapphire ring from the brand.

Chopra, 42, captured the Miss India and Miss World titles in 2000. She ranks among India’s top-paid actresses and has earned international acclaim, appearing on Time magazine’s list of the 100 most influential people in 2016, Forbes’ 100 Most Powerful Women list in 2017 and 2018, and the BBC 100 Women list in 2022.
