Animal song “Satranga” has become one of the most popular tracks of the music album ever since it released a few weeks ago. The song’s composer Shreyas Puranik recently said that he only wanted Arijit Singh to give his vocals for “Satranga”.

“I only wanted Arijit to sing this song. I think god resides in his voice. And I wanted to experience god singing my song,” he shared with Mashable India.

Shreyas Puranik discussed the music of “Satranga” and said that he ran into Sandeep Reddy Vanga at a Diwali party where Sandeep fell in love with his song. At one point during the party, Sandeep requested him to sing the song at least four times and a week later, he called him to seek his permission to use the song in the film.

Shreyas said that he recorded the scratch version of the song which was sent to Arijit Singh. After listening to the song, Arijit said that Shreyas could sing the song himself as he had done such a fine job with it. “He said, ‘You make Shreyas sing it. He has already sung it so well.’ I said, ‘But what you will do to the song… A lot of people can sing well but what Arijit can do to a song, no one else can,’” he shared. Shreyas added, “There are a few places where Arijit has outdone himself.”

Satranga’s lyrics have been written by Siddharth-Garima, and the song has been picturised on Ranbir Kapoor and Rashmika Mandanna.

In an earlier interview with CNN-News18, T-Series head Bhushan Kumar praised Sandeep Reddy Vanga for being a great collaborator. “He made great music this time. Normally, I being a music producer, get involved in the music. In Kabir Singh, I was behind him to add a few songs, and he gracefully added them. But this time, the arrangement was that he will make the music as per the film, which will work outside the film also. He clearly told me, ‘Sir, let me make the music as per the film, if you don’t like it, I’ll make another song’,” he said and added that he couldn’t find fault with Animal’s soundtrack.
