RISHAB REACTS TO REPORTS OF TAKING A DIG AT RASHMIKA MANDANNA

Rishab Shetty won the prestigious India Peacock Special Jury award at the 54th edition of the International Film Festival of India. The film festival took place in Goa from November 20 to November 28.

Speaking at the IFFI press conference, Rishab said, ‘I have to give the initial credit to the Kannada audience for making ‘Kantara’ such a huge success. It is because of them that the film went on to have a wider reach in other states. So, I’m always grateful and thankful to the Kannada audience. So, I shouldn’t be the person who is leaving the industry after delivering just one hit.’

However, an X user pointed out that he was taking a dig at Rashmika Mandanna. After many called him out, he apologised to Rishab for twisting his statement. The X user wrote, ‘My sincere apologies to @shetty_rishab this is what he actually said. He meant that he doesn’t want to be called a person who’s leaving the industry after delivering one hit. It does not imply “I’m not leaving Kannada industry like others”. Lot of difference (sic).’

Rishab Shetty replied to the post and wrote, ‘No problem, finally someone understood what I really meant to say (sic).’
