Surgery was planned before debut

The film ‘Kaho Na Pyaar Hai’ was released in the year 2000, this film was produced by Hrithik Roshan’s father and Rakesh Roshan. Rakesh was afraid of the six fingers on his son’s hands and felt that people would not accept Hrithik like this. In such a situation, he decided to remove this finger through surgery.

This decision of Rakesh Roshan was opposed by his wife i.e. Hrithik’s mother Pinky Roshan. Pinky said that Hrithik’s six fingers are God’s gift, so it would not be appropriate to cut them. During an interview, Hrithik Roshan had also admitted that people always made fun of him because of his six fingers, but he made it his strength. After the release of Kaho Na Pyaar Hai, everyone’s attention fell on his six fingers, but it was considered a symbol of his separate identity and people started considering it auspicious for him.
