Actress-singer Saba Azad was recently trolled mercilessly for her ‘out-of-box’ performance at Lakme Fashion Week 2023. She received several days of massive flak for the same. Saba who is in a relationship with actor Hrithik Roshan has now received support from her bae amid backlash.

Hrithik took to Instagram stories and in just a few words extended his support for Saba.

Sharing Saba’s dance video, Hrithik captioned it, “That surrender! That’s why the shine!” He added a sun and a red heart emoticon alongside. For the unversed, Saba and Hrithik have been dating for over a year now. Roshan was previously married to Sussanne Khan and is co-parenting sons Hrehaan and Hridaan Roshan.

Sharing a screenshot of someone telling her, ‘You need therapy”, Saba wrote in her Instagram story, ‘Why yes, sir/madam spud!! I tend to agree and I get it on the regular as should everyone else for existing in a world as consumed by hate as ours, you should try it!! It helps you fill your own tanks and thus not get so deeply offended by the peaceful existence of others (smiley face emoticon).’

Saba then reacted to someone commenting, ‘Are you mad (face vomiting emoji)?’ She said, ‘Yes Jaffar!! I really must be, to keep waking up every day in the wake of the constant hate being sent my way and thinking maybe today will be a better day and smiling and carrying on – I must be mad cause maybe the world is actually just filled with people such as yourself, who sit behind the safety of their screens adding nothing but hate into the world.”

“That’s your legacy, that’s what you’re gonna leave behind (smiley face emoticon) chew on that buddy!!’

Earlier this month, Saba opened up on the constant hate she receives because she is in a relationship with Hrithik.

She told India Today, “It’s taken me quite some time to come to a place where I treat everything else as white noise because hatred is palpable. I am not made of stone, it hits you. You feel like s***. There are days when you wake up and you wonder ‘What did I do to anyone?’ ‘What did I do to you?’ ‘I am living my life, you live yours’ ‘Why are you waiting for my blood?’.”
