He wrote, ‘I had nothing to do with this deepfake video. And I am very upset with what is happening. I worry about the future of women and girls who are now more afraid to put themselves out there on social media. Please take a step back and verify what you see on the internet. Not everything on the internet is real. I am deeply saddened by what is happening.’

The actress also reacted after her deepfake video went viral on social media. He said he felt really hurt. Rashmika wrote on social media, ‘It’s really hard for me to share this and it’s also hard to talk about my deepfake video spreading online . There are some really scary things happening like this. Which is not just with me, but with all of us who have suffered so much because of the misuse of technology today.’

She further added, ‘Today, as a woman and an actor, I am thankful for my family, friends and well-wishers. who are providing my protection and support. But, if this had happened to me when I was in school or college, I can’t really imagine how I would have coped with it. We need to tackle this as a community and as a matter of urgency to stop this kind of identity theft.’
