Spotify has revealed its rundown of the most-streamed artists, songs, albums, and podcasts in India for the year 2023. For the third consecutive year, Arijit Singh claimed the top spot as the most-streamed artist, while King and Saurabh Lokahnde’s “Maan Meri Jaan” emerged as the most-streamed song in India. Shahid Kapoor’s Kabir Singh secured the title of the most-streamed album of 2023.


Beyond topping the most-streamed artist category, Arijit Singh resonated globally, becoming the 12th most-streamed artist worldwide. Alongside Arijit, artists like Pritam, Anirudh Ravichander, AR Rahman, Shreya Ghoshal, Amitabh Bhattacharya, Alka Yagnik, Vishal-Shekhar, Sidhu Moose Wala, and Udit Narayan were among the most searched artists in India.

Among the other highly streamed songs on Spotify this year were “Kahani Suno 2.0” by Kaifi Khalil, “Kesariya” from the film Brahmastra, “Malang Sajna” by Sachet Tandon, “Cheques” by Shubh, “Heeriye” by Arijit Singh and Jasleen Royal, “Chaleya” from the film Jawan, “Phir Aur Kya Chahiye” from the film Zara Hatke Zara Bachke, “Agar Tum Saath Ho” from the film Tamasha, and “Daku” by Chani Nattan and Inderpal Moga.

In terms of genres, Bollywood music led the pack as the most-streamed genre in India, followed by Punjabi Pop and Tamil Pop. Albums from Bollywood films Brahmastra, Shershaah, Aashiqui 2, Love Aaj Kal, alongside “Ultimate Love Songs” by Arijit Singh, “Moosetape” by Sidhu Moose Wala, “Still Rollin’” by Shubh, and “Champagne Talk” by King were among the most streamed albums of 2023.

The most-streamed podcast on Spotify in India this year was “Shrimad Bhagavad Gita”. Other top streamed podcasts include The Ranveer Show, Krishna – The Supreme Soul, True Story Bro! with Triggered Insaan, Mahabharat Gaatha and others.
