Actor Trupti Khamkar, who played the role of inspector Mala in Kareena Kapoor-Tabu’s ‘Crew’, recently opened up about her experience of working with Tabu, Kareena Kapoor Khan, and Kriti Sanon. Khamkar described the experience similar to that of a masterclass, highlighting the immense talent and dedication of her co-stars. She also shared that she wants Kareena’s beauty to stop getting stereotyped in the role of a domestic worker.

Speaking exclusively with IndiaToday.in, Trupti listed the things she would want to borrow from the three leading ladies of Crew: ‘From Tabu, I would like to take her ease of performance. Kareena, I want one drop of her beauty and glamour. After that, no one will ever offer me a maid’s role again. Kriti is so beautifully holding her ground, she is an outsider in the industry. She has no godfather here, but she has held her ground and worked so hard. Also, she is so fit. I just want to learn that from her.’

Khamkar admired their ability to command the screen and captivate audiences with their performances. Sharing her experience, Khamkar said, ‘It was very beautiful. I am a trained actor, but nothing can train you like a film set. I think this was like a complete master class. There were three types of different performers all the time. So there is Tabu, unke performance se unka experience chalakta hain (You know she is experienced because of the way she performs). Then there is Kareena, who can hold own, she is a diva. Kriti, on the other hand, is so hardworking, beautiful, and self-made. You constantly learn from her.’

The Crew actor continued, ‘I saw how they would keep their calm, despite so much pressure and so much work. They’ve always loved me for who I am. They brought so much quality to the film and that is why it worked. Everybody was so tuned in and so focused,’ she signed off.
