Kajol’s deepfake GRWM video goes viral on the internet

After Rashmika Mandanna, Kajol has become the victim of the deepfake AI technology, as a morphed video of the actress changing clothes on camera has gone viral on the internet. In the video, Kajol’s face has been added to an Instagram influencer’s face. The Instagrammer posted the video as a part of her GRWM (Get Ready With Me) segment. However, someone used that video and used AI to add Kajol’s face to it.

The Instagram influencer in the question is Rosie Brown. She posted her video in June with a caption that read, ‘Affordable Midsize Summer Dresses’. The bio of the social media influencer read, ‘UK – Indian Irish midsized gal,’ and she has over 275K followers. She has been promoting body positivity on her Instagram account.

Well, earlier, Rashmika Mandanna’s morphed video went viral on the internet. Several celebrities from Bollywood and the South film industry condemned the use of technology for such things. Megastar Amitabh Bachchan even expressed that legal action should be taken against it. Not just that, the government also took note of it and stated that they would take strict action against it. A case was also registered against unindentified persons under several IPC sections of the IT Act 2000.
