Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, the L’Oréal Paris brand ambassador and a seasoned Cannes Film Festival attendee, is gearing up to grace the prestigious event’s red carpet once again. On Wednesday evening, the actor was spotted at the Mumbai airport with her daughter, Aaradhya Bachchan, heading to the French Riviera. However, fans were quick to express their concern over the actor’s right arm, which was seen in a sling.

“OMG she will walk Cannes with injured hands, God bless!” wrote a fan. Another said, “I hope she is fine and well. The most gorgeous graceful person Aishwarya. Can’t wait to see her at Cannes. Love her so much.” “Looking forward to her Cannes look,” wrote an excited fan.

Aishwarya was wearing black trousers and a long blue overcoat, while Aaradhya chose a pair of black joggers, paired with a white sweatshirt. Despite the apparent injury, Aishwarya remained tight-lipped and kept her spirits high.

Aishwarya’s right arm was wrapped in a sling while Aaradhya was seen holding her bag. In paparazzi videos shared online, the mother-daughter duo flashed smiles and waved the paps as they entered the airport terminal.

Ever since her Cannes debut in 2002, when she walked the red carpet in a Neeta Lulla saree and heavy gold jewellery for the premiere of her film Devdas, Aishwarya has been a regular at the festival. She was accompanied by co-star Shah Rukh Khan and Devdas director Sanjay Leela Bhansali during her first appearance.

This year, she will be joined by fellow brand ambassadors Kiara Advani, Sobhita Dhulipala, and Aditi Rao Hydari. As one of the most recognisable faces of the brand, Aishwarya has been instrumental in promoting its message of confidence and self-empowerment, which aligns with the theme for this year’s festival, Many Ways To Be An Icon.
