Former Indian captain MS Dhoni’s daughter, Ziva Singh Dhoni, shared an adorable video post for her dad on the occasion of Father’s Day on Sunday (June 16). Ziva is the only child of Dhoni and his wife Sakshi, who tied the knot in July 2010. The couple welcomed their daughter into the world on February 6, 2015.

Ziva took to her official Instagram handle and shared a video montage to celebrate Father’s Day. In it, Dhoni could be seen relaxing in the company of his daughter and a couple of dogs in a garden.

‘I think this is it’ – Matthew Hayden feels MS Dhoni has played his last competitive match in IPL 2024

Former Australia and Chennai Super Kings (CSK) player Matthew Hayden recently opined that IPL 2024 was the farewell season for MS Dhoni as a player. However, he believes that Dhoni will continue to be a part of the CSK side in some capacity as a support staff member in the coming years.

During a discussion on the matter on Star Sports, Hayden said:

‘I think this is it. I do believe that this will be the last time that Dhoni will play. Certainly, won’t be the last time that we see Dhoni. I’d be very surprised if he doesn’t mentor or be a part of the family of CSK in an official capacity. I suppose the thing is when you come to the end of your career, whether it is the last part of his career or not, what you don’t want to see is diminishing returns as an athlete.’

He added:

‘Firstly, as a leader, he is The Thala of the Chennai Super Kings. This is telling me that nothing here is about becoming anything else other than first place.’

Across 14 games in IPL 2024, MS Dhoni scored 161 runs at an impressive strike rate of 220.55, while batting in the lower middle order.
