Amy Poehler is all set to return as Joy in Inside Out 2. In an exclusive chat with News18 Showsha, the actress spoke about ‘confidence’ and Priyanka Chopra.

Inside Out 2 star Amy Poehler was all praise for Priyanka Chopra in an exclusive interview with News18 Showsha. The international actress and comedian is set to return this weekend to the cinemas with the Disney-Pixar film. She is voicing the emotion of Joy. Ahead of the film’s release, we asked Amy which Bollywood star she thinks could debut in the upcoming Inside Out films, if more of them are produced. When we suggested Priyanka Chopra, she was instantly on board.

If it was in your control, would there be any particular Bollywood star that you would like to introduce into the Inside Out universe? we asked Amy. After thinking for a while, Amy asked us if we have any suggestions. When we recommended Priyanka Chopra, suggesting that she could voice the characters of gut feeling or instincts, or could be the inner sass given her confident demeanour, Amy nodded in agreement.

“Actually, I know it is not really an emotion, but confidence is a very funny idea for another emotion down the line. Someone who is like really cocky, that would be really funny. Priyanka has a lot to be confident about,” she said.

While we wait to see if Priyanka ends up in the Inside Out universe in the future, Ananya Panday has joined the universe in India. The Bollywood actress has voice the character Riley, the teenage girl around whom the film is centered, for the Hindi version of the film. The announcement was made last week, with Ananya confessing that she is a fan of the franchise.

On the international front, Inside Out 2 brings back some old characters and introduces a bunch of new ones. We will get to see characters such as Joy (Amy Poehler), Sadness (Phyllis Smith), Anger (Lewis Black), Fear (Tony Hale) and Disgust (Liza Lapira) return to the screen and they will be joined by new characters such as Anxiety (Maya Hawke), Envy (Ayo Edebiri), Ennui (Adèle Exarchopoulos), and Embarrassment (Paul Walter Hauser).

Inside Out 2 releases in India on June 14.
