Shekhar Suman’s Viral Tweet Claims Reason Behind Priyanka Chopra Leaving Bollywood: ‘It Happened With SSR…’

The last time Priyanka Chopra was seen in a Bollywood production was Jai Gangaajal back in 2016 directed by Prakash Jha. Ever since then, Priyanka Chopra has been away from Bollywood movies and has only starred in Hollywood projects. In fact, she has a number of Hollywood projects upcoming opposite major stars.

Many have speculated why Priyanka Chopra completely left Bollywood, blaming a number of factors for the actress leaving Hindi movies. Now, an old tweet by Shekhar Suman is catching fans’ attention who believe the actor has shed some light on the reason behind Priyanka Chopra quitting the Hindi Film Industry.

In a series of older tweets, Shekhar Suman said that a “cabal” in Bollywood will “oppress, suppress, and persecute you,” and some people in Bollywood “ganged up” against him and his son, Adhyayan Suman.

Shekhar Suman’s tweets came after Priyanka Chopra, in a podcast interview, revealed that she left Bollywood after feeling “cornered.” He said that the same was experienced by the late actor, Sushant Singh Rajput, who died by suicide in 2020.

In another tweet, Shekhar Suman wrote, “Priyanka Chopra’s sensational revelation has not come as a shocker. It is well known the way the cabal within the film industry functions. It will oppress, suppress, and persecute you till you are finished. It happened with SSR (Sushant Singh Rajput).”

In a different tweet, Shekhar Suman wrote, “It will happen to others too. That’s the way the cookie crumbles in the industry. Take it or leave it. And Priyanka decided to leave. And thank God she did. For now, we have a true-blue global icon representing India in Hollywood. As they say, every cloud has a silver lining.”

Shekhar Suman then continued, “I know of at least four people in the industry who have ganged up to have me and Adhyayan removed from many projects. I know it for sure. These ‘gangsters’ have a lot of clout and they are more dangerous than a rattlesnake. But the truth is they can create hurdles but they cannot stop us.”

Priyanka Chopra will next be seen in the movie Heads of State, which will also star Idris Elba, John Cena, Paddy Considine, Stephen Root, Carla Gugino, Jack Quaid, Sarah Niles, Richard Coyle, Clare Foster, Katrina Durden, and Aleksandr Kuznetsov.
