Kriti Sanon and Sushant Singh Rajput have been rumoured to be dating each other ever since their 2017 film, Raabta went down on the floors. Though the two have never confirmed or denied their relationship status, their photos and videos together on social media speak of a different tale altogether. 

Kriti Sanon has an upcoming movie, Lukka Chuppi in her kitty starring opposite Kartik Aryan. As part of the promotions of the film, during an interview with Mumbai Mirror, Kriti was asked about her relationship status with Sushant Singh Rajput. Maintaining the we-are-friends-stance, Kriti replied, ‘Maine bhi bahot kuch padha hai, it’s like a daily soap. Sushant and I are friends and we recently met at Dino’s (Dinesh Vijan) wedding. I’m fond of him and we are really good friends. It’s always going to be like that.’

Earlier as well, Kriti had shared her thoughts about Sushant along similar lines. The Bareilly Ki Barfi actress had then said, ‘It happens every time you work with someone but I clarified what I had to online. Beyond that, I have nothing more to say. I really don’t know what to say. It is the easiest thing to assume. I said what I wanted to. It reached a point where families started getting involved which was a little nasty.’

Kriti and Sushant are often spotted together at various events and parties. Last year, there were reports that Kriti secretly met Sushant at his apartment in Mumbai. A source from a leading daily had remarked: “Kriti parked her car far away from his house so, that the photogs cannot click her during the visit. However, the trick worked but, somehow we got to know that she visited his place.”

In an interview with a leading daily in 2018, Kriti had revealed if such reports affect her and Sushant’s life. She was quoted as saying, ‘It doesn’t affect our relationship. I don’t see a reason to justify my relationship with Sushant. We know what the truth is. Over a period of time, I have realised that link-ups with co-stars are part and parcel of the industry. I have made peace with it. We often read stuff about us that’s completely baseless. We have always taken it in our stride.’

However, there were reports also floating about their alleged breakup in 2018. A film tabloid had reported that Kriti and Sushant have called it quits. The report had suggested, ‘It was never meant to last. Sushant has a roving eye and is an incorrigible flirt, whereas Kriti is a one-man woman.’ A source had told the tabloid, ‘It is definitely over between them.’

Earlier, Sushant was in a live-in relationship with his Pavitra Risha co-star, Ankita Lokhande. Talking about the same, the MS Dhoni star had once said, ‘It is very important to give time to a relationship. It can sustain if there are no expectations. When you are in love you care about your partner and wish for good memories with him or her. Therefore time is like an investment in any relationship.’

Ankita Lokhande has now moved on and is reportedly going to marry her businessman beau, Vicky Jain. As for Sushant, we really can’t say the truth of his relationship status with Kriti.
