Kriti Sanon, an engineer-turned-actress, made her Bollywood debut with the film, Heropanti, alongside Tiger Shroff in 2014.  The actress enjoys a huge fan following, and she impressed her fans with her performances in films like Adipurush, Bhediya, and Mimi. Kriti also turned producer as she launched her own production house, Blue Butterfly. Recently, she made her fans proud by winning a National Award for her performance as a surrogate mother in Mimi. Now, Kriti Sanon received yet another award, but this time, she fell prey to trolls for the same.

While Kriti Sanon is basking in the happiness of receiving the National Award for Best Actress, she has again been awarded a prestigious award. Recently, the actress also received the ‘Woman Of The Year’ award, and she couldn’t be happier. Kriti shared the news on her IG handle as she dropped a picture of herself dressed in a checkered nightsuit. She was seen sitting on her bed and holding the award in her hand. Now, a Reddit user shared the picture on the discussion portal and penned:

Now that Kriti Sanon’s picture surfaced on social media, netizens were not pleased with the update. They soon flooded the post’s comment section and started trolling the actress for the same. While one user penned, “Maybe she solved the climate crisis and we just don’t know (yet)? Man Indian celebrity worship is so cringe”, another user commented, “She legit just delivered two duds, doesn’t even make sense. And Kartik won man of the year, doesn’t make sense either.”

A while back, Kriti Sanon won her first Best Actress National Award at the 69th National Film Awards. For the unversed, Kriti was awarded with the Best Actress award for her impressive performance in the film, Mimi. The actress shared the award with Alia Bhatt, who won it for her stellar acting spree in the film, Gangubai Kathiawadi. After the awards winners were declared, Kriti posted a picture note on her Instagram handle. Sharing her thoughts about the win, Kriti penned:

“Elated, overwhelmed, grateful. Still sinking it in…pinching myself… this has actually happened. The National Award for the Best Actress for Mimi. Thank you to the jury who considered my performance worthy of the most prestigious award. It means the world to me.”

Kriti Sanon’s relationship with Prabhas

Meanwhile, Kriti Sanon has been in the headlines for her relationship with her Adipurush co-star, Prabhas for some time now. It all started when Varun Dhawan sparked Kriti and Prabhas’ dating rumours, in a reality show while promoting their then-upcoming film, Bhediya. He said that Kriti’s name was not on the list of the most eligible single women because her name is already in someone’s heart. To clear the air around the same, he even mentioned that the person he is referring to is not in Mumbai and is shooting a film with Deepika Padukone. For the unversed, back then, Prabhas was shooting for the science-fiction film, Project K, with Deepika.
