However, despite being one of the most in-demand actresses in the world, Priyanka Chopra Jonas, in her recent interview with People, shared how someone body-shamed her recently. The actress revealed that there was a person, who told her that she was not ‘sample-sized’ and admitted that these nasty comments disturbed her mental peace. She also cried to her husband, Nick Jonas after the tragic incident and recalling the same, Priyanka said:

“Someone told me yesterday that I wasn’t sample-sized… I was hurt and I discussed it with my family, and I cried to my husband (Nick Jonas), and my team. Most of us are not, and sample size is size 2.”

Further, in the same interview, Priyanka Chopra Jonas also talked about social media abuse and trollers targeting celebrities for no reason at all. Reflecting on the serious topic, PeeCee admitted that when a celebrity is trolled on a public platform with nasty comments, it takes a toll on their mental health. Priyanka also talked about people who don’t even spare the little kids of celebrities and make fun of them, brutally on the internet. The actress termed it as a mean and nasty thing and shared that sometimes people forget that celebrities are humans too.

In the same interview, Priyanka Chopra Jonas also talked about her favourite solution to deal with online bullying and social media trolling. Revealing how she tackles it, Priyanka admitted that she immediately talks or goes to her loved ones and family whenever she doubts or feels low on confidence. The actress highlighted the importance of family during low moments and urged everyone to surround themselves with people who genuinely care for them.

With her every film project, Priyanka Chopra Jonas is proving the mettle of her acting skills in Hollywood. As a result, when she was signed for the much-awaited show, Citadel, the actress had pay parity with her male co-star, Richard Madden. In the same interview with People, Priyanka admitted that after acting for almost two decades, she received equal pay for the first time for her work in Citadel. Priyanka credited Amazon Studios for taking the initiative of equal pay. Opening up about the same, she said:

“I put in the same amount of investment and work, but I get paid much less. That’s what you deserve, you are co-leads, that’s just fair.”
