Shweta Bachchan penned heaps of praises for her daughter, Navya Naveli Nanda’s Paris Fashion Week debut and skips to mention Aishwarya Rai’s name.

Aishwarya Rai looked stunning as she walked the L’Oreal Paris show Paris Fashion Week on October 1, 2023. The diva set the ramp on fire with her confidence and gorgeous look. For the show, Aishwarya donned a golden gown with intricate stonework all over it and a sheer cape. With blonde highlights and glam makeup, the actress took everyone’s breath.

Shweta penned an emotional note for Navya as she makes her runway debut at L’Oreal Paris

On the other hand, the granddaughter of the Bachchan clan, Navya Naveli Nanda made her runway debut at the L’Oreal Paris show during Paris Fashion Week 2023. Shweta shared an array of pictures of her and Jaya’s visit to Paris for Navya’s debut ramp show. Along with the pictures, the proud mom penned:
“All roads led to Paris this weekend. Well, at least for my mother & me. As Navya spent all her days doing L’Oréal things. My mother and I walked and ate (more eating than roaming to be honest) The show was an experience and so emotional – my mother and I both admitted to holding back tears as our little girl walked on all smiles!!! I remember her first steps she was just a few days past her 1st birthday – like yesterday, all parents say this I’m sure, it’s cheesy, and annoying, but so true. She wore red, the Eiffel Tower turned pink, and we went home very proud, very emotional, and very hungry.”
 

Netizens slam Shweta Bachchan for not mentioning Aishwarya Rai’s name

As soon as Shweta shared the post on her IG handle, Aishwarya Rai’s fans got upset as Aishwarya and Navya walked the ramp for the same brand, and Shweta did not bother to mention Aishwarya’s name anywhere. A Reddit thread shared an unseen picture of Aishwarya before the show as she was seen getting ready. In the frame, we could also spot Aaradhya. One of the users wrote, “Ikr! Shwetha is jealous on another level since so many years. She can’t tolerate a self-made woman like Aishwarya.” Another one commented, “She doesn’t need those jealous souls like Swetha Bacchan, Navya Nanda and Jaya Bachchan.”

But he missed out on posting a picture of bahu, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, which disappointed his fans.

Netizens slammed Big B for discriminating between the women in the family. Some comments could be read as, “Not fair, I’m not sure why you did not include Aishwarya, she deserves to be in one of the frame”, “This is not fair. Not mentioning Aishwarya Rai. This doesn’t suit the legendary position that you hold sir. Be it any personal family issues, you shouldn’t have done this on a public platform and that too on Women’s Day.”
