The actress will be next seen in Dharma Productions’ ‘Yodha’ opposite Sidharth Malhotra

Actor Raashi Khanna, who has acquired a lot of popularity and fame for her acting credentials and impressive personality, is riding high on the success of her web outing in Raj and DK’s ‘Farzi’.

In an exclusive interview to PTI, the actress expressed her happiness over being seen and recognised for her work in the northern belt, following the success of the Amazon Prime Video show.

“My popularity has definitely reached the northern belts. I could now say that I’m an Indian actor and not just a South-Indian actor. More than the script, I just had to say ‘yes’ to Farzi the moment I heard the names of Raj & DK, Shahid Kapoor, and Vijay Sethupathi.”

The ‘Thiruchitrambalam’ actress spoke about the experience of working with her co-star Dhanush in the 2022 hit romantic comedy. “I’ve really enjoyed working with Dhanush the most. He’s a fantastic actor and also my favorite actor as I’ve never known anyone as creative and talented as him.”

She also heaped praises on her ‘Jai Lava Kusa’ co-star Jr. NTR, who has been in the news following the Oscar glory for ‘RRR’ and the developments over his upcoming project ‘NTR 30’ with Janhvi Kapoor. “I think, Jr. NTR is one ball of energy and gives it his all wherever he goes be it a Tring Tring or Naatu Naatu. He’s brilliant at his job. RRR has just given more reach, but he’s always been a fantastic performer.”

When asked about the actors that she is looking forward to working with, the actress shared an impressive bucket list of names, for the record. “I definitely want to work with Thalapathy Vijay, Tovino Thomas, Fahadh Faasil, Dulquer Salmaan from the South. From the North, the wishlist is too long.”

Raashi’s upcoming projects include ‘Yodha’ starring Sidharth Malhotra and Disha Patani, which is being produced by Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions.
